Welcome to The Museum of Harlow
The Museum of Harlow uses objects, text and pictures to tell the
story of the area now known as Harlow from ancient
times to the present day.
Situated in the picturesque former Mark Hall stable block and
kitchen gardens the museum offers a unique opportunity for visitors
to discover the rich history of the town they see around them.
In addition to our public displays visitors to the museum can
make use of our local history library which incorporates an
Essex Record Office Archive Access point for Harlow district.
We have a full programme of saturday events,
pre-school sessions and school holiday
themed events, younger visitors can also try
our free quizzes and trails.
The museum has its own car park adjacent to the main entrance
and is listed on the local bus routes. All public areas of
the museum are wheelchair accessible and we have public
toilets, including a disabled adapted toilet, for visitors
use.
