Cultural Olympiad
Harlow Council is working in partnership with community
organisations as well as County and Regional Partners to ensure
that a range of exciting events take place within Harlow in
the build up to London 2012. Details of which can be
found on this page. Please check this page regularly for
updates.
TrySport
and Olympics Conference
This is FREE event and is a celebration of sport in Harlow
but is also a chance for the community to engage in work taking
place relating to London 2012 and will include
presentations from the Harlow Olympic Working Group.
There will also be a free healthy eating buffet and sports
sessions by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Harlow Town Football
Club, Harlow Amateur Boxing Club, Booth Academy of Table Tennis,
Harlow Badminton Club, Apex Trampolining, a fitness suite open day
and All Ability Sport and Leisure. There will also be
information stalls on Leisure Services, the Olympic White Water
Canoe Course, Olympic Velodrome, Harlow Leisure Zone, Kickz and
Harlow College amongst others.
The
Essex-Jiangsu Table Tennis Challenge
25 people of all ages ranging from 8-70+ took part in this
event. People came from across Essex to participate in the
event which was part of the Essex-Jiangsu Cultural
festival.
