Supplier Registration and the Council's Procurement
Portal
As part of Harlow Council’s continuing
commitment to improve communication with suppliers, Harlow has
joined forces with other Essex Councils and members of the
Procurement Agency for Essex (PAE) to create a common Supplier
Portal. Harlow uses the portal to view potential suppliers and
create Select Lists as required.
We would like to invite any current or
potential suppliers to the Council to register on the
portal via the PAE
Website. Registration is free of charge and will enable you to
receive live alerts for contract opportunities at Harlow and
across Essex that match your business requirements.
The Council does not maintain its own list of approved
Suppliers, but uses lists managed by third party bodies such as
CHAS, Constructionline and Exor, or Suppliers with equivalent
accreditations or standards recognised by the Council.

Construction Related Opportunities at
Kier Harlow Ltd.
Please note that most construction-related
work on behalf of the Council is now handled by our Strategic
Partner, Kier Harlow, who provides a full repairs and maintenance
service for most of the Councils Housing and Municipal building
stock.
Kier Harlow sources its own contractors
where there is a requirement to subcontract any
works. In addition, Kier Harlow also handles the
administration of a large section of construction-related tendering
activity on behalf of the Council. Contractors are
selected from the Council List referred to above to be invited to
tender for this type of work.
