Harlow Council is committed to building and
supporting the communities in its area and to provide or resource
services especially for young and older residents.
In partnership with other local organisations
it aims to provide services to meet the needs of all who live or
work in Harlow.
At the heart of this work is a Community
Strategy which addresses issue such as health, crime and
anti-social behaviour, and recreational activities.
The Community Service also supports Harlow
Youth Council, Harlow Youth Bank, the Young Peoples’ Information
centre and family services also come within the remit of Community
Services.
It is also responsible for leisure and recreation including
the Gibberd Gallery, the Playhouse, Harlow Swimming Pool, paddling
pools and sports activities.
