Anti-Social Behaviour- Anti-social Behaviour covers a whole complex of thoughtless, inconsiderate or malicious activity and has perhaps the greatest potential to blight the quality of community life.

Enforcement - Community Safety team is responsible for tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and environmental crime in the town. Investigate complaints of ASB and work closely with other Council departments and external partners such as the Police to bring about a prompt resolution to problems.

Environmental Crime - (dog fouling, littering, fly-tips etc.) is also enforced by this team, with a strong line taken against offenders, including the issuing of on the spot fixed penalty notices.

CCTV – the team is responsible for the town's CCTV systems which provide a useful tool in the gathering of evidence and the deterrence against crime and disorder.

Challenge & Support - The Harlow Challenge and Support Project is designed to ensure that a co-ordinated approach is taken to the delivery of support alongside the use of anti-social behaviour tools and powers on young people.

Hate Crime - Hatred is a strong term that goes beyond simply causing offence or hostility. Hate crime is any criminal offence committed against a person or property that is motivated by an offender's hatred of someone.
