Partnership Grants
Applications are invited from charitable, voluntary or 'not for
profit' organisations to apply for a Council Partnership Grant for
the period 2009/10 (subject to budget)
Partnership Grants are made to support organisations in making
positive or measurable contributions to the quality of life of
residents of the town; specifically linked to the
Council's objectives.
Priority will be be given to organisations:
- Whose activities will contribute to the achievement of the
Council's Strategic Priorities:
* A clean, safe and sustainable environment
* A prosperous community
* Decent affordable homes
* A caring community with a higher quality of life.
- Whose activities provide additionality i.e. they do not
duplicate the work being undertaken by the Council or any other
agency, but are complimentary.
- That are able to demonstrate that the money that the Council
grants them will enable them to draw in additional funding from
other sources.
The Council will also take into consideration the organisations'
audited level of reserves (referring to Charity Commission
guidance)
Sucessful applicants may be invited to take up a Service Level
Agreement with the Council, thus ensuring funding (subject to
budget and compliance with the agreement) to a maximum of 3
years.
The closing date for this round of applications will be Friday
28th November 2008
