What to do if you have a complaint

Harlow District Council has an internal complaints procedure already in place. Any person who considers that the Authority is not complying with the Publication Scheme or has not facilitated correctly a request for information may use our internal complaints procedure.

In order to access the Council’s internal complaints procedure, you should consult either www.harlow.gov.uk or Contact Harlow at the Civic Offices who will be able to supply you with appropriate literature.

Where you are dissatisfied with the outcome of the internal complaints procedure you have the subsequent right to apply to the Information Commissioner’s Office, who will investigate the complaint and determine whether the request for information has been dealt with in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
