Harlow Town Centre Bus Terminus
The first phase of the bus terminus
was opened on the 1st September 2001 by Harlow
Council.
The Bus Terminus is a
landmark building in the town not only for its light and airy
design but also this is the first municipal building that people
see when they arrive in the town centre on public transport. With
approximately 325,000 bus departures from the terminus a year the
amount of footfall in this area is considerable. The terminus
provides a safe environment for travellers to await their bus, out
of the elements. Five recently refurbished waiting areas are
provided along the concourse with space for 10 buses at any one
time. There is also a heated waiting room for travellers who have a
longer wait with a comfortable seating area. Ladies, gents and
disabled toilets are also provided along with a baby changing area.
The terminus and the bus access area is covered by CCTV for the
safety purposes. Access to the information kiosk is via the long
stay waiting room, providing travel information, timetables
and ticket sales. A SmartPoint is also available
providing travel information. For lost property please contact
the customer services department of the bus
company you were travelling with. Lost property is not
kept in the information kiosk.
