COUNTERMANDING OF
POLL
ELECTION FOR THE VACANCY IN
THE
HARLOW COMMON WARD
IN THE
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS
SCHEDULED TO BE HELD ON 1 MAY
2008
I, as Returning Officer for the
above elections, hereby declare that, following the death of Mr
Greg Peck who was a validly nominated candidate for the above
election, the poll which was due to take place on the 1 May 2008 is
countermanded and the election in the Harlow Common Ward on that
date is cancelled.
A new poll will take place within
35 working days of the 1 May 2008 and a new Notice of an Election
advising of the new date of poll will be published soon.
Poll cards informing electors of
the new date of poll will also be sent to each elector’s registered
address.
