Planning Applications

To ensure a better, more detailed service, we are currently redesigning our Planning pages. This unfortunately means that some pages may not hold the latest information. To view the latest planning application information, please use the Application Register in the right column.

Overview

Have you ever wondered what was required to make a planning application? Have you ever wanted to have your say in helping to shape Harlow? Have you been unable to travel to the council offices to view applications or too busy to make your own comments on a particular application? Do you want to take part in the consultation process or submit your own planning application? The following planning pages allow you to do just that.

The Application Register in the right column is linked to the council’s planning system and is synchronised once a day. You can use it to view details of Application Registrations, Decisions and Appeals that have been submitted to Harlow Council.

Using the comprehensive search facilities, you can search on specific applications, a general area, a property address, or even the person/party that has submitted the application.

You can also quickly check the status of an application, view which have just been decided and which will be presented at the next committee meeting.

During the consultation period, you can also record your support or objections, or any comments you may have about the application.

Full copies of decision notices are easily available by selecting Decision Notices in the left section.

You can also select Officer Report and Committee Agendas in the left section, to view the full officer's reports, committee minutes and forthcoming agendas.

The Application Drawings section on the left, allows you to view all drawings (also known as elevations) for planning applications received since December 2005. The submitted application forms are also included.

If you wish to view previous application drawings, then please contact the Council. You will find all contact details by selecting the Contact Us menu option in the left column.

If you wish to electronically submit a new application to the Council, you can follow this link to use the government’s Planning Portal.

If you prefer to submit a paper application, then selecting the Forms menu option in the left column enables you to download these forms.
