Together we can...
Find out about the Council’s programme to clean up our
town. And find out what you can do to help.
Harlow Council is cleaning up our town.
Why? Because we all want a cleaner, safer, greener
Harlow.
Follow this
link to view the areas being cleaned between 30th June - 19th
December 2008
Our daily work involves scrubbing out graffiti, clearing up
rubbish, picking up litter, removing chewing gum and improving
landscaping and street furniture.
To give our cleaning up a major boost we are continuing the
Together We Can…Clean Up Our Town campaign.
This campaign is in addition to our normal everyday cleaning of
Harlow.
Look out for the refuse trucks and green bins in your area
between 8am and 2.30pm on the same day as your clean up where
you'll have the opportunity to dispose of any unwanted items.
The council reserves the right not to accept some items.
Please do not leave items in the street as you could be
prosecuted for fly-tipping.
Together We Can keep Harlow clean
Every year Harlow Council spends over a million pounds
to keep the town clean and safe, but we can't do it alone. That's
where you come in because Together We Can keep the town and your
area looking smart and feeling safe.
You can help by being responsible
yourself, encouraging others to be responsible and telling us about
those who mess up our town.
You can find out more about what you can do by
downloading your free “Together We Can…clean up our town”
information pack, see the 'Keep Harlow Clean' menu choice to the
left of this page.
