A Local Authority Search is usually undertaken
by either a Hips provider or Solicitor acting on behalf of a client
with responsibility for obtaining information relevant to the
property or land.
However, there are two ways of doing a Search:
Official
Search - where you have the the Search done for
you
Personal
Search - where you are provided with information to undertake
the
Search yourself
