The Regeneration Team leads on the delivery of regeneration, economic development, and housing growth in partnership with Harlow Renaissance Limited.  The team is responsible for town centre and neighbourhood regeneration, development of the growth and regeneration strategy, attracting investment into the town, and promoting enterprise.

 

This is carried out in partnership with a range of public, private and voluntary organisations on local economic development, education and training, social and physical regeneration and inward investment.

 

Economic Development

Harlow Council’s Regeneration Team provides economic development and support.

 

This includes:

 

  • Helping to ensure that local businesses can access appropriate business support.

 

  • Promoting entrepreneurialism (helping people to start their own business).

 

  • Providing economic, social and demographic research intelligence.

 

  • Inward investment support (providing support and information to attract potential business and investors seeking to locate here)

 

  • Helping provide support and information to businesses and individuals on how to cope with the economic effects of the recession.

 

  • Encouraging and promoting skills development for both employers and employees.
