What is Careline?
 
It is a 24 hour, 365 day emergency response service, run by Harlow Council. Harlow Careline lets you keep your independence, knowing that someone is always available to answer your call for help. Peace of mind with only a modest weekly rental charge for the lifeline equipment.
 

 

 

Who is it for?
 
Anyone! It is for those who are vulnerable, living alone, or at risk for any reason. for any age group, whether council tenants or owner occupiers. It can also be used in shops, offices and for people working alone.
 

 

 

How Does it Work?
 
You will be supplied with a lifeline unit and personal alarm pendant. When you need help, simply press the red button on the pendant and you will quickly be connected to the Harlow Careline office.
 
The alarm lets us know who is calling, even if you are unable to tell us what is wrong.
 

 

 

Who Will Answer my Call for Help?
 
Fully trained staff are available constantly to answer your call. Using information obtained from you, the computer will display details of your home address, and where appropriate, information about your medical condition. All information is strictly confidential.
 

 

 

Who Will Attend in an emergency?
 
Harlow Careline Officers, who are trained in first aid and experienced in dealing with emergencies. are on call 24 hours a day to respond to your call for help.
