Homelessness
If you approach Harlow Council as a
household which is homeless or is threatened with homelessness, in
the first instance we will try to prevent you becoming homeless,
however, if this is not possible we will make a number of enquiries
into your circumstances, and into the reason/s why you have,
or will become, homeless.
When we have completed our enquiries we will
tell you whether we believe that the law requires us only to help
you find your own accommodation, or whether the law requires us to
provide accommodation for you, either directly, or via another
person.
