Manifesto Statement
I think that communication is the key. I
want to be the one responsible for putting your views across.
I feel that the young people in Essex aren’t treated fairly and now
is the time for us to break free of the troublemaking teenage
stereotype.
HYC Sub Group and
Responsibilities
Transport Representative - Responsibility to
attend all relevant meetings and consultations (including formal
quarterly adult committee meetings to observe), to receive all
information and to disseminate information to subgroup and full
youth council meetings. May be required to arrange transport
lists at full youth council meetings.
Achievements
As a volunteer I have been elected on to the
Young Essex Assembly and been given a place on Harlow Youth Council
as the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership and the
Transport Representative. I have designed a survey concerning
transport that is now being taken to county level.
I can now understand young peoples’ views on
transport and I know how to make them heard.
This relates to my personal/career plans as I
plan on studying politics/law at University, so I therefore have
gained public speaking skills and a lot more confidence that will
put me in good stead.
