Manifesto Statement
I will try to make the streets safer, find
more places for people to go and to save places that we already
have like The Square. I'm also willing to listen to any other
ideas.
Sub Group and
Responsibilites
Web Page Support –
Meeting with Harlow Council and Essex County Council staff
members for information updates, regularly checking the Harlow
Council HYC webpage for errors, missing links, etc., collecting
updated information from other youth councillors. Attendance
will also be required at PR Team meetings to ensure web pages are
up to date.
Achievements
As a volunteer, I have:
Helped with the opening of the Youth Cafe
Ran in elections
5 day residential at Southwell House
Attended consultations with adult councillors, officers and
others.
Contribution to the work of my project
and community:
Young people now have a place to go, young
people's voices are getting heard, adults' opinions and feedback is
also being received.
Relation to personal/career
plans:
I would enjoy travelling, seeing different
cultures, new experiences. Go to Fiji and help re-grow
coral. Go to North Africa and help make poverty history/work
with children. By doing community work, I can gain skills of
working in similar situations.
