Manifesto Statement
If elected, I will try to get at least two
more skate parks built around the town and to get community centres
to open so young people have a local meeting place.
Sub Group and
Responsibilities
Librarian – scrutinising
newspapers, magazines and journals to collect all articles relating
to Harlow Youth Council. To collate and display these in
chronological order so to maintain a comprehensive record of the
youth council's activities and achievements. Liaise with
Harlow YouthBank and Young Essex Assembly members to ensure that
partnership activities are also included.
Achievements
As a volunteer I have attended meetings and
given ideas to the group. I have also attended a Holocaust
Memorial Day with other youth councillors.
This has contributed to the work of my project
and community as by attending youth council meetings, I have been
able to put forward the views of other young people in the town and
make sure that they get heard.
This relates to my personal/career plans as I
want to go to university to study photography. Being on the
youth council has given me a lot of confidence so that I can deal
with a wide range of people and situations.
