Vote for me! I will put forward your
ideas; express your concerns, ensuring your town is a better place
to live. Making your dreams a reality!
Sub Group and
Responsibilites
Education Representative -
Responsibility to attend all relevant meetings and consultations
with schools, college and Harlow Education Consortium, to receive
all information and to disseminate information to subgroup and full
youth council meetings. Liaise with each school’s HYC
representative to update display boards and notice boards.
Produce and maintain display packs for distribution with the HYC
reps on the PR team.
As a volunteer, I have:
Stood as a youth candidate in the town youth
election and was elected to stand as a youth councillor for two
years. I attend weekly community meetings about youth
issues.
Contribution to the work of my project
and community:
I have been working to set up a youth cafe for
11-17 year olds. I have worked on presentations, buying
furniture and organised the open day.
Relation to personal/career
plans:
I have learnt how to work in a team, listen to
instructions and help solve problems. I hope to become either
a carpenter or a builder. I hope to go to college to learn
these skills.
