Manifesto Statement

I want to be elected so I can voice the needs and opinions of my peers.  If elected, I would address issues such as the closure of local community centres and the activities they provide.

 

Sub Group and Responsibilites

2020 Homes & Regeneration Youth Council Representative - Responsibility to attend all relevant meetings and consultations, to receive all information and to disseminate information to subgroup and full youth council meetings. To work with the Chief exec rep

 

As a volunteer, I have:

Been elected to represent young people in the Harlow Youth Council.  I have tried to be punctual, I have attended most meetings and I have also attended a training residential to improve my skills needed to be a youth councillor.

 

Contribution to the work of my project and community:

It has enabled me to voice the opinions and ideas of young people in adult meetings and alos, I am able to update the community in developments.

 

Relation to personal/career plans:

I would like to become a Civil Engineer and Architect.  Contributing to the youth council will help me to visualise and complete my goals.  it will also help me to find solutions to problems such as considering everyone's points of view.
