Manifesto Statement

I can help you with all your problems and troubles.  I can understand these because I’m a young person and not a boring old adult.  My main issue to resolve is getting young people heard.

 

Sub Group and Responsibilites

Charity Representative – Responsibility to attend meetings of charitable organisations when they require a youth council representative, investigate possible charity involvement for the youth council. This includes attending Young Concern Trust and Rainer meetings

 

As a volunteer, I have:

I was elected by young people for young people as a Harlow Youth Councillor and I will be standing for two years, representing the views and voices of young people in Harlow.

 

Contribution to the work of my project and community:

I have worked as a spokesman representing Harlow Youth Council at the National Holocaust Memorial Day and at the Bradwell Youth Centre.  On both evaluations I received excellent feedback.

 

Relation to personal/career plans:

I am only just 13 and haven't got any firm career plans, but joining the youth council will give me the political and community experience if I wish to become a councillor.
