Youth Surgeries

Take your issue or complaint to the Harlow Youth
Council Youth Surgeries
The Harlow Youth Councillors are currently planning to hold
Youth Surgeries in schools.
What is a youth surgery?
A youth surgery is a place where you can go to talk to a youth
councillor
and tell them about any issues that you have. It is an
opportunity for you to
have your say about things in the town, e.g. the need for
better facilities,
more things to do, or to report litter.
What does a youth councillor do?
A youth councillor is a young person who has been elected by
the young
people of Harlow. They represent your views at meetings and
at
consultations with the planners of the town and the senior
members of staff
that run the services in the town.
What can we do for you?
We can listen to you and take your issues to people who can
address
them, people like the council, the bus service, and the youth
service.
We promise you!
We will respect your views.
Anything you tell the youth council will be kept confidential
and shared only
with the services that we will need to process your issue
to.
Confidentiality
The only situation where we might share such information is
one where we
feel you may be physically at risk otherwise, in which case we
will take the
necessary advice from the school and youth worker to ensure
your safety.
We will always tell you first if we intend to do this.
We can take action by taking your issue or complaint
