Gibberd Gallery - Free Art Workshop

Harlow is 70 logoHarlow: Land and Sky

Suitable for adults and young people aged 13+ years - with artist Averil Sinnott

To celebrate Harlow's anniversary, join us for a 3 part workshop to explore the relationship between the town and its geography over the past 70 years. The original ideas which shaped and cultivated Harlow's identity have morphed and changed over time. The workshops will explore the ideals and designs upon which Harlow was founded and document its evolution through investigative imagery taken from the ground and air. These images, combined with the original plans, will form the basis of a collaborative installation paining.

During each workshop, participants will learn how to use and manipulate paint to create their own response to the town through a dynamic abstract or landscape painting. Each of these individuals works will help form the installation as a whole.

Workshops are being held on:

  1. Saturday, 8 April, 2017
  2. Saturday, 20 May, 2017
  3. Saturday, 10 June, 2017
