18.75 hours per week, working time negotiable (banking 15 minutes per week to be used towards the shut down between Christmas and the New Year)

The Community Safety Team is looking for a motivated individual who would like the opportunity to contribute to community safety in Harlow. 

We are looking for the right person to fulfil a key support role for the Council’s Community Safety Team. The successful candidate will be a person who can work with the public, other Council services and the many partner organisations working together to reduce crime and antisocial behaviour. 

Reporting to the Council’s Community Safety Manager, your role will be to provide effective administrative and financial support to the Team. It is essential that you are computer literate and have good communication and interpersonal skills.  You should have previous experience of minute taking and financial control systems and be able to work under your own initiative.  You may be working with sensitive information, so confidentiality is essential. You must be flexible and a team player with experience of working within a pressurised environment. The right candidate will also be positive about change and adapts rapidly to different ways of working.
