For over 30 years the Harlow Playhouse Theatre
has been offering live entertainment to an appreciative and ever
growing audience. A highly regarded Council service, the Harlow
Playhouse is at the centre of the town’s cultural life, offering a
varied mix of new and classic drama, comedy, dance, musical
tribute, children’s entertainment, film and pantomime.
Our current manager is moving on, so we need
an experienced professional to take up this exciting challenge. We
are looking for an enthusiastic person, who would welcome the
chance to work with a committed team of staff and volunteers, and
who has the energy and ability to take Harlow Playhouse onto its
next level of success.
The successful candidate will have
demonstrable experience in theatre management or a closely related
field, and will also have had experience of managing a complex
staffing structure.
The post holder will be responsible for the
programming, staffing, budget and facilities management, and for
ensuring a customer-focused approach at all times. The ability to
develop partnerships and maximise all forms of income generation is
essential, as is a commitment to equality of opportunity and social
inclusion. The successful candidate will be able to work flexible
hours, including extensive evening and weekend work.
