Leah Manning Centre

The Leah Manning Centre, opened in 1980 as a purpose-built, modern day care centre with a warm, friendly atmosphere and named after a former teacher and MP for Epping in the 1930s and 1940s.

The Leah Manning Centre provides specialist day care for older people, administered by Harlow Council working in partnership with Essex County Council, Adult Social Care who fund the specialist day care, for Harlow residents with a higher level of need.

The Leah Manning Centre is an ideal environment to make friends and socialise with others. Our highly skilled staff provide person-centred support to the client to achieve their aspirations and goals through individual care plans. Each individual is offered choice and control over the activities they wish to participate in, and we continuously review these to ensure variety and stimulation for each and every day of attendance.

“This is my home from home. I have made new friends in a warm friendly environment where the staff are very caring and supportive, nothing is too much trouble. We recently went on a trip on a narrow boat down the river Stort which was absolutely fantastic.” Mal Linden, 78
