Mad Hatter's Tea Party

   

The Mad Hatter threw a tea party in the Town Centre early in the summer, to celebrate Harlow's 60th birthday, and invited all the town's children, as well as Alice and the White Rabbit. Click image to enlarge

Teddy Bear's Picnic

  Harlow children went down the park - to get a big surprise. Goldilocks was being chased around the park by an angry Baby Bear looking for his porridge. They both stopped long enough to join local mums and children enjoying the Teddy Bear's picnic. Click on image below to enlarge.

Diversity Festival 

 
     To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Harlow and the rich cultural diversity the town enjoys, The Museum of Harlow and The Chinese Community Association organised events centred around the food and cultures of Harlow's colourful communities. Click on image below to enlarge.

Harlow Show

 
     Harlow's Premier annual event was made extra special this year to celebrate the 60 Anniversary. The show kicked off at midday on 2nd August and kept nearly 20,000 entertained well into the balmy summer night. There was something for everyone to enjoy from rock climbing to horse riding and from wrestling to wolves and the grand finale: Bucks Fizz - no not the nasty orange fizzy stuff - the ever-so popular Eighties fizzy pop group!
