Council Budget and Council Tax 2007/8
Harlow Council has set its Council Tax for 2007/8. The 1.9%
increase is expected to be one of the lowest in the country.
Council Tax is made up of four elements with shares of the tax
going to Harlow Council, Essex County Council and the Essex Police
and Fire Authorities. Increases by the other three organisations
mean that overall the Harlow Council Tax will increase by 4.1% (£55
per year for Band D)

At it's meeting last night the Council also agreed increases in
spending on priority issues such as environment, community safety
and recycling.
