Local Development Framework

The Local Development Framework (LDF) is the name given to the new system of Development Plans introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.  The new system introduces a suite of changes to planning policy and will eventually replace existing Structure and Local Plans.

The LDF will set out our policies for meeting the community's economic, environmental and social aims for the future, where this affects the development and use of land. The intention of the LDF is to promote a proactive approach to managing development and streamline the local planning system.

The LDF is an on-going process.  To keep you updated with the new documents we are producing, we will post them here on the website.   For more information, follow this link to send us an e-mail.

Submit (or return) the form by the 31st October 2007 and you will be entered into our prize draw. The winner will be randomly selected and receive a ‘Yummy’ cake.
