Playhouse announces new panto for 2008/9
Harlow Council’s Playhouse Theatre promises a
real treat for theatre-goers this festive season with a production
of the traditional and popular pantomime Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will run from
Friday 12 December to Saturday 10 January 2009. Harlow Council has
selected New Pantomime Productions Limited to produce the
pantomime, following interest from 17 companies across the
country.
Lynn Seward, Harlow Council’s Head of
Community Services, said: “Snow White has long been a hugely
popular fairy tale for the whole family and this year’s show
promises to be extremely exciting. This will be a true community
pantomime and is a very exciting development for the Playhouse.
Open auditions will be held, meaning that everyone who wants to has
a chance to be involved in the pantomime. This year we will be
working with New Pantomime Productions Ltd, a company that is well
known in the theatre industry.”
Prices for performances will be kept to the
same levels as last year. A new addition is that special matinee
performances will be held for schools from Monday 15 December to
Friday 19 December.
This year also marks the launch of a priority
booking service for schools and groups on Monday 5 May. Schools and
groups can get in ahead of the general booking launch on Monday 16
June.
For further details on the pantomime and a
host of other exciting shows coming up over the next few months

in the next couple of weeks.
