Local council and PFCC elections

The local council and Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) elections will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.

There will also be a by-election for the vacant Essex County Council seat of Harlow South East for those registered to vote in that division on the same date.

For the local council elections, all 33 seats are up for election following the recent ward boundary review which led to 11 new wards.

For the PFCC elections, Harlow is represented by the Essex PFCC, who is elected to make sure that local police and fire service meet the needs of the community. The lead authority for this election is Colchester City Council.

You must have registered to vote to be able to vote in these elections.

You can apply for a postal or proxy vote on our how to vote page.
