Information for residents
If you're an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, you and your family can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK as you do now. The EEA includes the EU countries and also Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The deadline for applying is 30 June 2021, or 31 December 2020 if the UK leaves the EU without a deal.
You do not need to apply to the settlement scheme if you have:
- permanent residence or indefinite leave to remain
- British or Irish citizenship (including dual citizenship)

The UK Government has a dedicated website offering advice and guidance to help businesses and organisations to prepare for when UK leaves the EU.
There is also an online tool you can use to find industry-specific information on preparing your business for Brexit.

North Weald Airfield
Works are due to take place at North Weald Airfield, as part of the UK Government’s preparations for a no-deal EU exit.
The airfield is within the Epping Forest district but near to the border of Harlow and junction 7 of the M11. The works are required by HMRC to prepare sites for temporary customs use.
The work is scheduled to start the week of 23 September.
