Fly-posting

Fly-posting is the illegal displaying of advertisement posters or printed materials fixed to any structure on public or private property without permission. Similarly to fly-tipping or dumped rubbish, fly-posting is an eye-sore to the environment and is extremely costly to remove. Individuals and businesses persisting in fly posting committing an environmental crime which could be given a Fixed Penalty Notice or face prosecution which may result in imprisonment.

Does Harlow Council remove fly-posting?

HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd will remove the fly posting from Council owned land/property within 14 working hours of receiving the report, however this may be delayed if Council Officers are investigating. Obscene and racist fly posting will be removed more quickly.

HTS (Property & Environment) Ltd will remove obscene and/or racist fly posting from private land/property.
