Harlow's Big Weekender
On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2019, Harlow will enjoy a weekend of events that will bring the community together.
Saturday 29 June
On Saturday we have the latest Makers Market, which has become a regular fixture in Market Square since its launch in 2018.
Makers, bakers and creators will be in Market Square from 11am until 4pm selling a range of bespoke and handmade crafts, food, jewellery and more.
Visit the Makers Market page for full details.
Sunday 30 June
On Sunday the Harlow Carnival rolls back into town and we are hoping that the weather will be kinder to us this year! Despite the rain last year hundreds of people took part and this year's event promises to be even bigger.
The procession will set off at midday from Harlow Rugby Club on Howard Way and up to First Avenue where it will turn left. It will then make its way to Velizy Avenue before turning into Market Square where the procession will end.
Full details are on the Harlow Carnival page.
The fun doesn't end there though!
The End of the Carnival Show Show, which is being organised by Harlow Council and produced by Makin' Steps and Woodbury Studios, will kick off at around 2.30pm to wrap the weekend up with some fantastic acts, many of whom performed at the Celebrate Harlow event earlier in the year.
Acts taking part are:
- Ciaran Gilligan
- Harlow Steelband
- Anwaar Bellydance Group
- Razed Roof
- Paul Bormond
- Makin Steps
- Double Up Your Spirit Choir
- Harlow Ballet
- Anita Schultschik
- Brooke Turnstill
The show will end at around 4.30pm.
It promises to be a fun-filled weekend for all the family!
