Council Tax Support
The government created a £500 million Hardship Fund to provide Council Tax relief to help those affected most by coronavirus.
The funding is targeted at residents who are already eligible for and claiming Council Tax Support.
We have now made awards to all residents who currently qualify for this support and have reduced and reissued your bill.
We will keep this scheme under review over the course of the year.
You can find more information in our Council Tax Support COVID19 hardship policy (pdf)
Struggling to pay
If you are struggling to pay your Council Tax then you can make a claim for Council Tax Support.
Please be aware that you will need to apply for Council Tax Support if you have made a claim for Universal Credit.
If you cannot make an online claim, please contact our Revenues and Benefits team by phone 01279 446655 or email email@example.com
