From Monday 6 July 2020 charges in Harlow Council-owned car parks in the town centre, Town Park and neighbourhood shopping centres will be reintroduced.
However, it will still be free to park for up to 1 hour in the neighbourhood shopping car parks at Bush Fair, The Stow and Old Harlow and free all day at the weekends and after 5pm.
It will also still be free parking for up to 1 hour in the car parks in the Town Park, River Way and Burnt Mill Lock and free parking in these car parks for up to 2 hours at the weekends.
From Monday, for the free parking period, residents will not need to display a ticket, but they will need to register their free parking period upon arrival at a car park via the app or phone number displayed on signage.
The payment machines will remain covered and to help prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) will not be accepting cash. Payments will need to be made via the MiPermit app, online or via phone or text. Full details can be found on the payment machines.
NHS and other healthcare workers will continue to be able to park for free when carrying out their duties in line with current government parking schemes.
In the town centre the council runs the Post Office Road and Wych Elm car parks.
