Improve your balance and mobility

A new strength and balance service is available for Harlow residents who would like to improve their mobility.

Regular gentle strength based activities are proven to help improve mobility and prevent falls, leading to a more active, social and independent life.

Social.Active.Strong offers a free 12 week programme of activity designed to build strength and keep the muscles, bones and joints strong; helping to improve balance and sustain your day to day activity levels.

Classes will take place in a socially distanced setting, with an option for people to take part online if they cannot attend sessions or wish to remain self-isolated.

By taking part in strength based physical activity at least two days a week, adults and older people can reduce their risk of falling by up to 30%.  

The service is available to adults living in or registered to a GP’s practice in Harlow, Uttlesford or Epping Forest.
