While the Leah Manning Centre is closed to the public until further notice, staff have been providing a vital outreach service, spending hours everyday preparing and delivering care packages for their customers.
They have also been making welfare calls to those who live alone on the days they would normally visit the day centre and weekly calls to those who are living with their families. As well as providing outreach calls for tasks such as shopping and picking up prescriptions
Take a look at our video dedicated to our Leah Manning Centre staff as they continue to help support their customers during these challenging times.
The voices in the video are actual phone messages received from grateful customers and their families.
We appreciate the messages of support as council staff continue to work hard to support and assist residents, as well as helping to keep vital services running.
