Harlow residents who are looking for help in losing weight can now take advantage of a free weight management programme at Harlow Playhouse.
Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) has been providing My Weight Matters programmes for seven years. The service, which is commissioned by Essex County Council, has gone from strength to strength, spreading across the county with more than 60 new sessions starting at a range of community venues.
The programme is now joining up with Rainbow Services and Harlow Council to run weekly sessions at the Playhouse on Mondays between 4pm and 6pm.
My Weight Matters offers one-to-one support and advice, using approaches put together by dieticians, psychologists and exercise specialists as well as using cognitive behavioural techniques.
There are other My Weight Matters sessions held in Harlow on:
Wednesdays The Rainbow Centre, 2 Wych Elm, CM20 1QP 11am-1pm
Thursdays Great Parndon Library, Parnall Rd, CM18 7PP 11am-1pm
Fridays Harlow Leisurezone, Second Avenue, CM20 3DT 12.30-1.30pm
