If you are a professional and someone you are working with is homeless or is at risk of losing their home, you can refer them to our Housing Options and Advice team.
Some public bodies now have a responsibility to refer people they think are homeless or at risk. These include:
- hospitals
- prisons
- social services
Make the referral
Before making a referral, you will need the individual’s:
- name
- contact details
- consent to be referred
Once we have received your referral, we will contact the individual referred within 2 working days.
If the individual is currently homeless, call 01279 446655 during office hours (9am to 4.45pm).
If you have a genuine emergency, outside of office hours, you can call 01279 446666.
