St Clare Hospice - Winter Walkies

Stay ahead of the pack by joining St Clare Hospice for their popular annual Winter Walkies event.

From Cockapoos and Cocker Spaniels to Pugs and Poodles, dozens of dogs of all shapes and sizes are set to take part in our sponsored 5km countryside walk.

There will be doggy-friendly fun and games for all the family, including competitions for dogs and owners as well as a children’s quiz, before the pooch parade sets off from the Hospice at 11:00am.

The procession of walkers and pets will then wind its way across the beautiful Essex countryside before returning back to the Hospice where all walkers will be greeted with a cup of hot soup and a roll.

Dog rosettes and treats will also be handed our afterwards, along with certificates for children. Other refreshments will be on sale.

Anyone is welcome to join us for Winter Walkies – whether you are a pet owner or not – but if you are bringing a canine companion, then please remember to bring bags for their waste. Please note that the route is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

Please also remember to check the weather on the day, and ensure you wear suitable clothing and footwear as it is likely there will be plenty of muddy feet and paws.
