Walking in Harlow

Walking is a great way to get fit, explore your local environment and make new friends. There are many opportunities to join walking groups in Harlow. 

Social Strollers

Social Strollers walks are fun, free and social, with a 30 minute or 60 minute option available. 

They meet:

Every other Friday at Harlow Town Park (School Lane Car Park) at 10am 

Every Sunday at Parndon Wood Nature Reserve at 11.30am

Nordic Walking

Nordic Walking, run by Tara Whittle of Naturally Attuned offers walks in the countryside for all abilities. 

This type of walking is great for keeping fit and you'll burn more calories than normal walking as you use walking poles. 

The walks cost a small fee to join (pole hire included), but Tara offers a free taster session.

Town Park walks

The Town Park hosts monthly walks which explore different features of the park.

The walks for winter 2018 are:

WW1 Centenary Guided Walk around Netteswell Cross and Park (3 November from 10 to11.30am)

Winter Trees Guided Walk (1 December from 10 to11.30am)

Both walks meet at The Greyhound Pub Car Park.

Alzheimer's Society Group

The Harlow Alzheimer’s Society Walking Group meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. 

The meeting point is the School Lane Car Park in Harlow Town Park. 

Kind and caring volunteers are needed to support the walks.
