Alan Townshend has started work as the interim Managing Director of Harlow Council’s environmental and housing maintenance company HTS.
Alan has been appointed for 6 months whilst the council and HTS undertake a recruitment exercise to appoint a permanent Managing Director to replace John Phillips who left recently.
Alan has over 35 years’ experience working in the housing sector. He has worked in senior roles and worked for both public and private companies as well as run his own consultancy firm and he has vital experience of working for a Local Authority Trading Company. His most recent role was Chief Executive at Southern Housing Group, one of the largest housing associations in London and the Southeast.
On joining HTS Alan Townshend said:
