4 The Hill, Old Harlow development

We are demolishing the existing property in order to build new affordable properties.

We are building 2 new properties:

  • one 2 bedroom house
  • one 3 bedroom house

We will also:

  • provide 2 allocated parking spaces per property
  • include electric vehicle charging points (one per property)

Why the work is needed

The existing property has structural issues and has been deemed as beyond economical repair. Demolition of the existing property will allow for construction of two new properties on the site, providing much needed affordable homes for local residents.



Planning permission was granted at Development Committee on 1 July 2020, with the formal decision notice being issued on 6 July 2020 (HW/FUL/20/00107).

We have appointed Architecture & Design Services Ltd as the architect and consultant for this scheme.

Initial survey work is being undertaken throughout August 2020.

Work started in January 2020.

Impact on residents

We do not expect the on-site work to cause any issues to the surrounding residents and we will update them regularly.

We will manage deliveries to mitigate any construction site car parking.
