A major development at the Harlow Innovation Park is set to bring in millions of pounds in investment to the local economy, as well as create hundreds of new jobs, as Harlow Council continues to Build Harlow’s Future.
The council is leading a bold and ambitious regeneration programme, which is being delivered across the town. This transformation of the town now includes Identity, a landmark business hub at the Innovation Park being delivered by Wrenbridge. The scheme is designed to attract cutting-edge businesses in life sciences, technology, research, and advanced manufacturing.
This £30 million investment is a key part of the council’s mission to ‘Secure our Future’, ensuring long-term prosperity, sustainability, and opportunity for all residents.
Construction on the Identity site will begin in the autumn this year and be open in summer 2026. Identity will sit alongside the existing Nexus, Modus and Arise buildings, which offer business and manufacturing space for the science and technology industries, and is part of wider development in the area which includes the soon-to-open David Lloyd Leisure Club.
Identity will offer over 149,000sq.ft of high-quality space and is expected to support hundreds of new jobs in the innovation and tech sectors as it reaches full occupancy. It is already home to pioneering companies in health, tech and digital services, with more space available for growing businesses.
Key features include:
- Six units ranging from 12,000sq.ft to 56,000sq.ft of R&D and hi-tech manufacturing accommodation
- Modern first-floor office space
- An ideal location at the centre of the UK Innovation Corridor, with close transport links between London and Cambridge and Stansted Airport
- Benchmark-setting sustainability with advanced insulation, airtightness and renewable energy sources targeting EPC A and BREEAM Excellent.
- Superfast broadband
- Extensive landscaping and staff amenity space
Councillor Dan Swords, Leader of Harlow Council, said:
“We are delivering on our mission to Secure our Future, and are building further on our already strong position at the centre of the UK Innovation Corridor with the introduction of Identity to the Innovation Park. As a town we are pioneers in the technology and science industries, and this new addition to the Innovation Park will continue that tradition.
“Harlow is rapidly emerging as one of the UK’s most dynamic and forward-looking towns and is attracting huge amounts of investment. And with huge investment comes equally huge opportunity – to create new jobs, secure a better future for our residents, and to restore pride in our town by boosting the local economy.
“This investment is not just about buildings – Identity is a symbol of what Harlow can achieve, and we are working day and night to make our six missions a reality.”
James Feltham, Director at Wrenbridge, said:
'We are excited to be bringing forward Identity, Harlow which will provide best in class accommodation into the Harlow market.
“The highly sustainable scheme has a strong focus on staff welfare which is enhanced by the excellent amenity provision onsite and locally. Identity delivers the next phase of development at Harlow Innovation Park and we are proud to be working alongside Harlow Council to bring this site forward.”
