Digital Boost Grants help local businesses achieve success

A special celebration lunch was held last week (Friday 21 March) for local businesses that were awarded the first phase of Harlow Digital Boost Business Grants.

Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the Digital Business Boost Grant aims to enhance the digital capabilities and resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Harlow. Eligible businesses were able to apply for grants of up to £2,500, which must be match-funded.

The grants give Harlow businesses the opportunity to adopt and upgrade digital solutions which can improve their online presence, increase productivity, safeguard against cyber threats and implement advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The special event was held in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre, where Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Economic Development Councillor Michael Hardware gave out certificates to those in attendance.

The second round of funding will be announced in the future so more local small and medium-sized businesses can apply, watch this space!
