Harlow is home to an extraordinary community of people and businesses who go above and beyond every day – innovators, leaders, creators and community champions who help the town thrive.
To recognise and celebrate these local gems, Harlow Council has launched the Harlow Awards, a new initiative designed to shine a spotlight on the individuals and organisations shaping Harlow’s future, strengthening the community and setting new standards of excellence.
Nominations are now open across a wide range of categories, celebrating achievement, impact and ambition in business, innovation and community contribution.
Award categories include:
- New Business of the Year
- Business of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Innovation and Technology Award
- Environmental Stewardship Award
- Harlow Heroes: Community Impact Award
- Volunteer of the Year
- Accessibility and Inclusion Award
- Heritage and Culture Award
- Chair’s Award for Excellence
The awards aim to recognise everyone from high-growth start-ups and established businesses giving back, to individuals making a difference behind the scenes.
Announcing the awards, Chair of Harlow Council, Cllr Andrew Johnson, said:
“Harlow has always been a town driven by ambition, innovation and a strong sense of community. Every day, people and businesses across our town go above and beyond – creating jobs, supporting one another and helping Harlow grow and succeed.
“The Harlow Awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those efforts, to shine a light on the talent and dedication we have locally, and to take pride in the positive impact being made right here in our community.”
Residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to nominate the individuals and organisations they believe deserve recognition.
