Families from across Harlow are being invited to enjoy a day of free fun, activities and entertainment as Harlow Council supports National Play Day in Harlow Town Park.
Taking place on Tuesday 4 August from 11am to 2.30pm, the event will bring together more than 30 local organisations offering a wide range of free activities for children and families, celebrating the importance of play while showcasing the wealth of opportunities available for young people across the town.
The event will feature games, sports, creative activities, entertainment and opportunities for families to discover local clubs, community groups and support services – all in one place.
The event supports Harlow Council's Building Harlow's Future mission to Secure our Future, helping children and young people lead happy, healthy and active lives while strengthening connections between families and the organisations that support them.
Councillor Danielle Brown, Cabinet Member for Culture and Community, said:

National Play Day is the UK's annual celebration of children's right to play, highlighting the important role that play has in supporting children's physical health, mental wellbeing, learning and development.
The event is free to attend, with activities taking place from 11am-2.30pm in Harlow Town Park.
