Following the local elections on Thursday 7 May 2026, the political makeup of Harlow Council is now:

  • Conservatives 22
  • Labour 10
  • Reform 1

The following councillors have been newly elected:

  • Councillor Geoff Longster (Conservatives) – Bush Fair
  • Councillor John Steer (Conservatives) – Latton Bush & Stewards
  • Councillor Simon Carter (Conservatives) – Little Parndon & Town Centre
  • Councillor John Purse (Conservatives) – Mark Hall
  • Councillor Colleen Morrison (Conservatives) – Netteswell
  • Councillor Nidhi Hindocha (Conservatives) – Passmores

The following councillors were re-elected:

  • Councillor Michael Hardware (Conservatives) – Church Langley North & Newhall
  • Councillor James Leppard (Conservatives) – Church Langley South & Potter Street
  • Councillor Matthew Saggers (Conservatives) – Great Parndon
  • Councillor Sue Livings (Conservatives) – Old Harlow
  • Councillor Emma Ghaffari (Conservatives) – Sumners & Kingsmoor
