This Remembrance Sunday (10 November) will see the country unite as it always does to remember and give thanks to the members of the Armed Forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
Here in Harlow, a special remembrance service will be taking place at the Netteswell Cross war memorial. Spectators can join in at 10.30am at the top of School Lane, before walking down to the cross for a short service and to observe the 2-minute silence at 11am.
Following this, the Harlow branch of the Royal British Legion will host its annual Festival of Remembrance at Harlow Playhouse at 6.30pm, featuring music from Harlow Brass Band and a performance from the Moot House Players. Book your tickets here
On Monday 11 November, Harlow Council will be holding its own remembrance service, led by the Chair of the Council, outside the Civic Centre. The public are welcome to attend; please arrive outside the Civic Centre by 10.50am.
